If you are a building owner or a landlord of a rented property, you are required by law, to subject your building for safety gas inspection every year. As an evidence of your compliance, you are required to secure a Gas Safety Certificates which should be in your possession.
This safety inspection can be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer in your area. Usually this Gas Safety certificate cost from £40 + VAT, and for every additional appliance you are charged at £10.

Our Gas Safe registered engineers are instructed on the safety inspection process to make the necessary safety checks, and after completion they will issue a gas certificate and handed to you. This certificate will be evidence that all the appliances in your rented property are safe to use;
Moreover a copy will be given to your tenant within 28 days, and you are also required as a landlord you will also need to retain a copy for two years from the date of inspection. On our end we will retain an electronic copy of the Gas Safety Certificate on our system for two years.
The securing of the certificate is compulsory for the building owner or a landlord because failure to present a valid Gas Safety certificate (CP12) upon inspection by the authority will result in prosecution. Consequently this will also invalidate your property insurance and can be liable for potential civil claims.
